Wonderful composition...which speaks for itself! ;)

The color version is very nice. Maybe push the contrast and dark zone a tiny inch further?! :)

The droplets on the spiderweb and having a butterfly there as well is a very nice and an unusual capture! :)

Your exif has a nice description:
"To photograph truthfully and effectively is to see beneath the surfaces and record the qualities of nature and humanity which live or are latent in all things." :p

Administrator, Elite, GFXartist sponsor moserArtist, I crimped the darkzone to lower the contrast this gives it a smoother feel which is what I wanted in this case - the use of saturation here is dependent on this lighter scale of Value. :) I already have a b&w version that I am happy with... It is too bad at this size that the many delicate small drops on the wings of the butterfly are not prominent

Great shot! The web with the droplets make a beautiful composition :)
I really like the desat moser made from it. Your B&W version is a tad too dark for my taste (the highlights I mean)
I would push the contrast a bit, so the droplets are more sparkling and the background makes the foreground subject stand out more

Very well captured! I wish the spider was closer to the butterfly which would have enabled a closer and more detailed shot. The background is a bit distracting and the DOF of a close-up would have provided a more softer effect.. Nice work!

Madanapale, & moserArtist, & anyone else: I know you all mean well and your intentions are good but, I am really not comfortable with people taking the liberty to edit and post revisions of my work. I am interested in your thoughts and feedback but would much rather you put them into words instead of sharing them with demonstrations like that. Thank you for understanding!

If you are not comfortable with us suggesting variations of your composition I fully respect that of course.

I have therefore withdrawn my link to a desaturated variation of your post.

I don't know the real problem here,but i can't see the picture.

The lower contrast makes this feel like a painting. Normally I'd say "bring the darks in" but in this case it seems to work quite well. Bravo.

Elite, GFXartist sponsor sirgerg, It seems you 'get the point' of my approach here, thank you for that!
